Commons Network has its origins in the Access to Medicine and Open Knowledge movements. The battle for accessible knowledge and open licences and against monopolies in, for instance, the pharmaceutical industry continues to this day. It is important that we keep sharing experiences and insights that support a transition into open, transparant and democratically governed knowledge regimes.
